Draft Guidance Consultation (Dec. 2012 – Feb. 2013) - Now Closed

Consultation Process: As part of the project’s multistakeholder consultation process, the first drafts of each sector guidance document were posted below for a two-month public consultation. Please see below the consultation timelines and submission instructions of each sector draft.

Public Posting Of All Written Comments: Unless expressly requested otherwise, submission of written feedback were posted as received to this web portal with each commentator’s submitted name and organisational affiliation.

Guidance aim: It is the European Commission’s intention to produce practical, useful guidance for businesses on implementing the Guiding Principles, which is not intended to be legally binding. While the Guidance takes particular account of the situation and experiences of EU business, it aims to be as globally relevant as possible – informed by research and the views of a wide range of stakeholders, including expert representatives from business, trade unions, NGOs and government.

The Oil & Gas (O&G) sector guidance was posted for public consultation on 30 November 2012 and was open for comment through Friday 1 February 2013.
