Natalie Donback is a journalist based in Barcelona covering climate change, human rights, and politics. Her work has appeared in TIME, The Guardian, Grist, Mongabay, the BBC, and many other outlets. She was previously an editor and reporter at Devex, covering global health and the humanitarian sector. Her investigative work has uncovered how EU funds for sustainable fisheries benefit big industry instead of small-scale producers impacted by climate change, the ways urban inequality is fuelling extreme indoor heat in low-income neighbourhoods of Barcelona, and how exposure to extreme heat impacts the kidney health of Nepali migrant workers in the Gulf.
