Claude Voillat
Independent Consultant
Claude Voillat is an independent consultant who brings on board +20 years of passion working on business and human rights - and in particular on the very tricky challenges of corporate responsible practices in conflict-affected and high-risk areas (CAHRAs). He is presently active with TrustWorks Global, a social enterprise specialising in responsible and effective engagements in conflict-affected areas.
Prior to that, Claude has worked for +30 years at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), both abroad (principally in the Middle East and in Africa) and in the Geneva headquarters. He spent in particular about 20 years engaging with business actors on their practices in CAHRAs. On this latter front, Claude has been involved in supporting companies, industry associations and multistakeholder initiatives and in developing a number of guidance documents - all with the view to fostering responsible business practices in CAHRAs.
Claude holds an MA in political sciences from the University of Lausanne and an MBA (specialization 'entrepreneurship') from the University of Geneva.
