Duncan is an experienced Human Rights professional with a strong background in due diligence across complex global supply chains. Currently Senior Responsible Sourcing and Human Rights Manager at Asda, a large UK retailer, he leads the company’s Human Rights strategy, ensuring alignment with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs). This includes identifying salient issues and associated due diligence, mapping supply chains, helping businesses understand risks and rights holder impacts, and, where necessary, delivering remediation.

Duncan focuses on rights holders and communities, potentially many time zones and tiers from the Head Office, to assess, mitigate and manage impacts experienced through business operations including navigating complex topics such as gender, modern slavery and geopolitical issues whilst driving collaboration with Civil Society Organisations and Multi-Stakeholder Initiatives.
