Gerald Pachoud

Founder and Principal, Pluto Advisory


Gerald Pachoud is the Founder and Principal of Pluto Advisory, a consultancy at the intersection of geopolitics, conflict dynamics, and responsible business conduct. He works with corporations, investors, csos, governments, and international organizations to manage human rights, conflict, and political risks, particularly in high-stakes environments. Previously, he served as the Special Adviser to John Ruggie, UN Special Representative for Business and Human Rights, where he played a key role in the development of the UN Guiding Principles. He also created and led the business and human rights program at the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was principal Officer in the strategic planning unit of the UN Secretary-General’s Executive Office. Gerald is Professor of Practice at SOAS Law School and Senior Advisor to GBI.
