Joanne O'Donnell

Joanne heads up a team of over 40 international product regulatory specialists at Compliance & Risks, a company established in Ireland in 2002 to help global multinationals monitor and manage requirements, regulations and standards through its knowledge management software platform.

A qualified lawyer in Ireland since 2003, she has extensive legal experience spanning private practice, in-house, and industry at both national and international level and also worked as a lawyer with the United Nations in Geneva for a number of years. Joanne has worked with Compliance and Risks for over 14 years and supports its clients with their global legal compliance challenges with a particular interest and focus on Sustainability, Human Rights, and ESG. She has spoken at several international events across the EU, US and Japan on the topic of product compliance, sustainability and human rights and has authored several white papers on this topic. Joanne has a Bachelor of Law from the National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland. She also has a Masters in Public International law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva, Switzerland and a Masters in French from the University of Limerick, Ireland. She is also a former alumna of the Business and Human Rights Masters Course at the University of Bergen, Norway.
