Webinar - From COP30 to 2030: Lessons for Business from Just Transitions in Practice
30 January 2026
Business leaders across sectors are urgently seeking concrete, real-world models for delivering just transitions that unlock opportunity, reduce risk, strengthen resilience, and build long-term competitiveness.
On January 29 2026, IHRB organised a webinar bringing together senior business practitioners from different industries who are engaged in complex transition processes.
Their discussion focused on what works, what doesn’t, what the next five years demand from business, and how companies can accelerate implementation through meaningful partnerships with workers, suppliers, and local communities.
Speakers included:
- Brandee M. Butler, Chief Executive Officer, IHRB
- Haley St. Dennis, Head of Just Transitions, IHRB
- Dan Ioschpe, Brazilian business leader & COP30 High-Level Champion
- Yann Wyss, Global Head of Social Impact & Human Rights, Nestlé
- James Magor, Principal, Sustainability, Actis
- Daisy Hessenberger, Global Subject Matter Expert - Nature & Biodiversity, Arcadis
- Amol Mehra, Director of Programmes, Laudes Foundation
The webinar marked the release of a new report from IHRB’s two-year JUST Stories project, featuring four immersive case studies of real-time just transitions, centered on the people driving them - spanning agroforestry, renewable-powered value chains, community-led housing, and post-coal local economic diversification.
