The Directors of the Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business (MCRB) can confirm that our Executive Director, Vicky Bowman, has been freed from prison in Yangon, following the amnesty for prisoners announced in Myanmar. We hope that her husband Htein Lin will also be released shortly.

“We are delighted that Vicky has been released from prison” the Directors said. “We are aware that Vicky has now left from the country”

“On their behalf, we would ask for Vicky’s privacy to be respected as she is reunited with members of the family.”

MCRB will not be making any further media statements for the time being.
