The Directors of the Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business (MCRB) are shocked at the sentences handed down to our Director Vicky Bowman and her husband Htein Lin by a court in Yangon today.
Vicky has dedicated many years of her life to strengthening social and economic development in Myanmar. As head of MCRB since 2013, she has worked tirelessly to promote responsible business conduct by foreign and domestic companies in Myanmar.
Vicky is a mother, wife and sister, and we hope it will be possible for her to be reunited with her family in the UK soon. We are continuing to support the family in these difficult times.

ဗစ်ကီသည် မိခင်တစ်ဦး၊ ဇနီးသည်တစ်ဦး နှင့် ညီမတစ်ဦးလည်းဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ၄င်း၏ မိသားစုဝင်များနှင့် ယူကေနိုင်ငံတွင် အမြန်ဆုံးပြန်လည်ဆုံတွေ့နိုင်ရန်လည်း ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ မျှော်လင့်နေပါသည်။ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့အနေဖြင့် ယခုကဲ့သို့ ခက်ခဲသောအချိန်ကာလတွင် ၄င်း၏ မိသားစုဝင်များအတွက် ဆက်လက်၍ အကူအညီများ ပေးသွားမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။
