During the 12th United Nations Forum on Business and Human Rights in November 2023, Vicky Bowman participated in a panel discussion exploring the human rights considerations businesses must take when deciding whether to remain in or exit challenging operating contexts or business relationships, such as those affected by conflict.

Panelists discussed how the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), which provide a blueprint for responding to such risks can be applied in challenging contexts, what this implementation can look like in practice, and how to overcome challenges.
